Consonant Sounds helps beginning readers (and readers who are struggling) to learn the beginning consonant sounds, including blends and digraphs, and ending consonant sounds. This is accomplished through song, games and writing activities.
This is the second of seven levels of the Tiger Tuesday® Reading Program and includes a variety of activities giving young children an opportunity to practice sight identification, tracing and writing of upper and lower case letters, involving both visual and graphic inputs.

As a parent or teacher, understanding the basics of how we learn to read is helpful, but the Tiger Tuesday® Reading Program activities are organized following established guidelines for reading instruction. Activities and lessons are repetitive in form and easy to follow so in no time, children learn what to do on their own.
Follows the Orton-Gillingham approach.
